Think Discovers Critical Flaws in U.S. Transportation Security

BOSTON, MA -- February 1, 2005 -- Think today released a White Paper outlining security flaws in wireless networks located in major United States transportation hubs, including South Station in Boston, MA, and the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport. Think notified the company responsible for the flaws, and they have since been fixed, but general security threats still remain on many wireless networks.

This is not the first time Think has discovered a major security flaw. The company found a hole in Microsoft Exchange Server in 2003 that allowed spammers to send e-mail through servers that Microsoft had assured customers were already "secure."

The White Paper is available on Think's web site at http://www.thinkcomputer.com/corporate/whitepapers/southstation.pdf.
