Undaunted by Economy, Think Computer Releases Web-Based Software Beta

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- July 16, 2002 -- Think Computer Corporation today announced the availability of its Whiteboard content management software for general beta testing.

Background

For the average computer user, nothing is easier to do than browse the World Wide Web. Think Computer's Whiteboard software uses the simplicity of the Web to do what is otherwise complicated: update web sites. Whiteboard itself is actually a web site, which in turn allows users to design or update their own sites. Instead of spending weeks learning how to use File Transfer Protocol clients, HTML editors, and so-called "integrated development environments," anyone can get their own web site up and running within minutes using Whiteboard.

Content management software programs such as Whiteboard have become increasingly popular in recent years as companies have needed to organize the vast amounts of information on their web sites. Multi-million dollar systems are now plentiful, but there are very few inexpensive systems capable of yielding professional-grade web sites. The web sites that most low-cost packages generate are easily identifiable due to their poorly conceptualized layouts and cookie-cutter pages. Whiteboard is the exception to the rule; with a projected retail price of only $100.00, the potential for individuals and businesses to create their own professional sites will finally exist outside the walls of the Fortune 500.

Availability
